BAGHDAD -- Thirteen people were killed and 58 wounded on Wednesday after Iranian forces carried out cross-border bombardments on Iranian Kurdish opposition parties' positions in the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan in northern Iraq.

A statement by the regional Kurdish Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) said that Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) carried out four stages of bombardments, using ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drone. (Iraq-Iran-Kurdistan)

SANAA -- UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg arrived in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Wednesday morning to discuss with the Houthi leader the extension of the truce set to expire next week, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

RAMALLAH/JERUSALEM -- At least four Palestinians were killed and 44 others injured on Wednesday after Israeli forces carried out a raid in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.

The incident took place in the flashpoint refugee camp of Jenin in the northern West Bank, a focal point of six-month-long Israeli raids in the West Bank that often trigger violent clashes. The Israeli raids came after a string of street attacks in Israel earlier this year. (Israel-Kill-Palestinian)

TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called for a "realistic" approach from the United States amid the international efforts for the revival of the Iranian 2015 nuclear deal, Iran's Foreign Ministry website reported on Wednesday.

"There has been a lot of progress in the negotiations, and we believe that an agreement can be reached if the American side is realistic," the website quoted Amir-Abdollahian as saying in a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York. (Iran-U.S.-Nuclear Deal Revival)
