JERUSALEM, May 27 (Xinhua) -- AS Roma and Tottenham Hotspur will meet for a friendly match at the 30,872-seat Sammy Ofer Stadium in Israel's northern city of Haifa on July 30, the two clubs and the Israeli organizing company MTR7 Sports said in separate statements on Friday.
It will serve as one of the final warm-up matches for both teams as they prepare for the 2022-23 season.
Roma won the UEFA Conference League title on Wednesday after a 1-0 victory over Feyenoord Rotterdam in the final in Albania, while Tottenham finished fourth in the Premier League on Sunday, securing a spot in the Champions League.
So far the two teams have played each other three times, all friendly matches. Tottenham has won twice, in 2008 and 2018, while Roma won once in 2017.
Roma general manager Tiago Pinto said: "This match against Tottenham will be an invaluable test as we continue our preparations for the new season."
Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici said: "We are looking forward to an exciting fixture against a strong opponent. It will provide good preparation for the start of the new season."
Tottenham's pre-season schedule will also include a tour of South Korea and a match against Spanish club Sevilla in July.
